Worcestershire Seconds were restricted to only 24 overs action on the second day of the three-day encounter with Glamorgan Seconds at Monmouth School.
The visitors declared at their overnight total of 249-2 from 90 overs with Josh Dell unbeaten on 74 and captain Alex Milton 45 not out.
Glamorgan’s reply was split into four brief spells on a day of rain interruptions and they closed on 59-0.
Tom Cullen did the majority of the scoring and ended on 35 not out while Joe Cooke remained unbeaten on 17.
The Worcestershire bowlers bowled tightly and restricted their opponents to less than two and a half runs per over.
Matt Davis took the new ball and bowled five overs for 17 runs and from the other end Mitchell Stanley sent down six overs for 14 runs.
Zain Ul-Hassan came on first change and conceded just nine runs in seven overs while Ed Bragg returned 0-15 from six overs.
The two teams will hope for better luck with the weather on the final day.
