GENERAL TICKET POLICY

All tickets are sold for ground admission unless otherwise stated. Ground admission allows you to be seated anywhere in the ground with the exception of the members/hospitality areas.

Tickets in advance are classed as the day prior to the match day.

ENTRY TO THE GROUND SHALL CONSTITUTE ACCEPTANCE OF THE GROUND REGULATIONS

 

  • “Club” means Worcestershire County Cricket Club
  • “Ground” means this cricket ground and all locations owned occupied or utilised by the Club
  • “Match” means any cricket match or event taking place at the Ground

All matches are played in accordance with the rules and regulations of the England and Wales Cricket Board

 

  1. THE PURCHASE OF A TICKET AND ENTRY TO THE GROUND SHALL CONSTITUTE ACCEPTANCE OF THE GROUND REGULATIONS      

    • “Club” means Worcestershire County Cricket Club
    • “Ground” means this cricket ground and all locations owned occupied or used by the Club.
    • “Match” means any cricket match or event taking place at the Ground.

    All cricket matches are played in accordance with the rules and regulations of the England and Wales Cricket Board

     

    1. Admission to the Ground and the right to remain in the Ground is at the sole discretion of the Club.
    2. The Club excludes to the maximum extent permitted by law any liability for loss, injury, or damage to persons/property in or around the Ground.
    3. No guarantees can be given by the Club that a Match will take place at a particular time or on a particular date and the Club reserves the right to reschedule the Match without notice and without any liability whatsoever.
    4. In the event of the postponement or abandonment of the Match, refunds (if any) will be made in accordance with the rules of the competition in question and/or the terms and conditions under which the tickets were issued. The Club will have no further liability whatsoever, including (but not limited to) any indirect or consequential loss or damage, such as (but not limited to) loss of enjoyment or travel costs.
    5. All persons seeking to enter the Ground acknowledge the Club’s right to search any person and to refuse entry to or eject from the Ground any person refusing to submit to such a search. Bags may be searched at the point of entry and any prohibited items will be confiscated.
    6. All persons entering the Ground must be in possession of a valid ticket or pass for that match. The ticket or pass must be produced for inspection if requested by a steward or other representative of the Club at any time.
    7. Persons under the age of 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult
    8. Whilst present in the Ground, persons must always comply with the instructions or directions given by a steward or other representative of the Club.
    9. The Club reserves the right to search any individual or their bag(s) on entry to the Ground for any cricket match or other event.
    10. The following articles must not be brought into the Ground – knives, fireworks, smoke canisters, air-horns, whistles, drums, musical instruments, flares, weapons, dangerous or hazardous items, laser devices, drones, glass vessels, metal or wooden fixed poles and any other articles that might be used as a weapon and/or compromise public safety. The club may use its discretion and allow small flags that only relate to cricket to be taken into the ground. Any person in possession of the above prohibited items will be refused entry to the ground.
    11. At County Championship, One Day Cup group stage games and any Tourist fixture (other than a T20), a maximum of four cans of beer or equivalent or 70cl of wine and food and soft drinks may be brought into the Ground. No alcohol shall be brought into the Ground for Full International fixtures, T20 or One Day Cup Quarter Final or Semi Final fixtures.
    12. No person shall drive a motorised vehicle within the Ground at more than the permitted speed limit of 5mph.
    13. No guarantees can be given by the Club that all areas of the Ground will be open on any given day. The Club reserves the right to close certain areas of the Ground at its sole discretion.
    14. Nobody may stand in any seating area whilst cricket play is in progress. Persistent standing in seated areas whilst cricket play is in progress is strictly forbidden and may result in ejection from the Ground.
    15. The obstruction of gangways, access ways, exits and entrances, stairways and like places is strictly forbidden. Nobody entering the Ground shall be permitted to climb any structures within the Ground.
    16. Smoking of cigarettes or electronic cigarettes are only permitted in the designated areas (in front of the car park entry/exit gates near the practise nets and the car park area at the rear of the ladies’ pavilion/marquee). Smoking is not permitted on the grassed picnic area or behind the Basil D’Oliveira Stand. Smoking is also prohibited in any building or under any permanent structure. Refusal to comply with this will lead to ejection from the Ground.
    17. The Club aims to create an environment within the Ground where no individual, group or organisation experiences discrimination or acts in a discriminatory manner on the basis of a Protected Characteristics (as defined in the Equality Act 2010 from time to time – which at the time of writing are age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation).The Club has adopted the ECB Anti-Discrimination Code. This Code forms part of the ECB’s continuing efforts to maintain the integrity, diversity, and inclusivity of cricket.
    18. For safety reasons, no glass vessels, or receptacles to be taken onto a balcony or to any other outside areas of the ground unless authorised by the Safety Officer.

    19 The use of threatening behaviour, foul or abusive language, obscene chanting, or any form of discriminatory abuse towards other spectators, staff, playing staff & officials is strictly forbidden and will result in arrest/or ejection from the Ground. This could lead to further action by the Club including, but not limited to, the withdrawal of membership (without reimbursement) and other benefits. Any article of clothing worn within the Ground with abusive, obscene, or racial abuse on them will not be permitted and any individual wearing any such article of clothing will be ejected from the Ground.

    1. The throwing or discharge of any object or missile within the Ground without lawful authority or excuse will result in ejection from the Ground or even arrest.
    2. It is forbidden to enter the playing area or any adjacent areas at any time unless authorised by a steward or any other representative of the Club.
    3. Persons appearing to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be admitted into the Ground and any person whose behaviour is likely to upset/distress other spectators due to them being under the influence of alcohol or drugs whilst in the Ground will be asked to leave the Ground or be ejected if they refuse.
    4. No goods (including literature) of any nature may be offered either free or for sale by any person within the Ground without the express written permission of the Club.
    5. No sponsorship, promotional or marketing materials may be brought into, used, or displayed by any person within the Ground without the express written permission of the Club.
    6. Tickets are not transferable and may not be offered for sale without the prior written permission of the Club. Any tickets offered for sale may be confiscated by any steward, officer of the Club or any police officer.
    7. Any person damaging or defacing the Club’s property will be ejected from the ground and prosecuted.
    8. CCTV cameras are in use around and in the ground and the Club may itself use or pass to the Police, cricket authorities or other relevant organisations, any recordings for use in any proceedings.
    9. Dogs are allowed in the Ground for County Championship games, One Day Cup group stage games and Tourist fixtures (other than a T20) but must always be kept on a lead. Failure to comply with this rule will lead to the person being asked to leave the ground. Dogs are not allowed in any bar or restaurant areas unless they are Assistance dogs. Only Assistance dogs are permitted into the Ground for Full International fixtures, T20 or One Day Cup Quarter Final or Semi Final fixtures or any concert held at the Ground.
    10. The Club strongly advises that owners who bring a dog with them in a car have a duty of care to that animal and no animal should ever be left unattended in any motor vehicle whilst on the club premises. Failure to comply with this rule may lead to ejection from the Ground and possible prosecution.

    30 The reserving of seats for friends who have not yet arrived in the Ground is not in the spirit of fair play to other spectators. Spectators are therefore kindly requested to refrain from this practice. The Club reserves the right to remove any items reserving such seats.

    1. Accessible seating is provided around the Ground for the use by people with disabilities. People without disabilities are respectfully requested not to use these areas without the approval of a steward.
    2. Under no circumstances may any person at the Ground use a mobile telephone, computer or other kind of communication device either (i) to communicate or in any way transmit any form of commentary, data or other material in relation to a cricket match taking place at the Ground for any kind of improper betting or other corrupt or unlawful purpose; or (ii) to conduct betting activity in a public pitch-facing part of the ground in a way which, in the Club’s (or its appointed nominee’s) opinion, otherwise brings the game or the Club into disrepute or which offends (or is likely to offend) other spectators.
    3. Any person at the Ground who is reasonably suspected by the Club (or its appointed nominees, including but not limited for such purposes to the anti-corruption officials and any other representatives of the England and Wales Cricket Board) of acting in breach of this provision during any cricket match unconditionally acknowledges, accepts, and agrees that:
    • they must, upon request by the Club (or its appointed nominees), provide their name and address and an explanation for their suspicious conduct (including full details of the nature of his/her suspicious communications); and
    • they may be photographed and/or filmed by the Club (or its appointed nominees); and
    • any such names, addresses, photographs, and films may be shared between each of the ECB, all the other first class county clubs, relevant official cricket authorities and any relevant police and crime prevention authorities,

    for the purposes of any criminal investigations or proceedings, and/or in connection with any investigation into a potential breach of domestic or international cricket anti-corruption rules and/or to enable the ECB and the other first-class clubs to give reciprocal effect to any ban on entry which is subsequently imposed by the Club pursuant to this provision. Personal data collected under this provision will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. A person providing their personal data may have rights in respect of their data under the Act and any questions regarding the handling of personal data should be addressed to the Club which is the data controller for the purposes of the Act.

    Any person who it is reasonably suspected is in breach of this provision accepts that they may be immediately ejected from the Ground (without any financial or other compensation) and prohibited from entering the ground and any other cricket ground under the control of either the ECB or any first-class county club for life or such other period as the Club deems appropriate in its sole and absolute discretion.

    The Club reserves absolutely the right to refuse entry to the Ground or eject from the Ground any person that fails (or in the Club’s reasonable opinion is likely to fail) to comply with any of the Ground Regulations or whose presence within the Ground is or could (in the Club’s reasonable opinion) constitute a source of danger, nuisance, or annoyance to any other person. This could lead to further action by the Club including, but not limited to, the withdrawal of Membership (without reimbursement) and other benefits.

SCHOOL PARTIES

For school groups attending wishing to attend an Specsavers County Championship match, the party will be given free admission providing they pre-arrange their visit with the Club.

For any other format, the school group will be given one free adult ticket for every ten children if purchased in advance.

REFUND SCHEME – ONE DAY INTERNATIONALS

If, for the day for which the ticket is valid, play does not take place OR play is restricted, you will be entitled to a refund of only the match ticket value subject to there being: (a) zero to 15 overs played and no result is obtained – a full refund; (b) 15.1 overs to 30 overs played and no result is obtained – a 50% refund.  In no other circumstances can money be refunded.

Refunds will be made automatically by Worcestershire County Cricket Club to the original purchaser only, by refunding their debit or credit card. For refund queries telephone 01905 337921. Cricket is against ticket touting – you must not buy or sell this ticket for more than its face value.  Please see www.ecb.co.uk/refundscheme for full re-sale/refund policy.  All tickets are issued by or on behalf of Worcestershire County Cricket Club.  Each Ticket is and shall remain at all times the property of Worcestershire County Cricket Club.

No person who is subject to a life ban imposed and/or recognised by the ICC, the ECB or any other ICC Member as a result of a breach of any applicable ICC, ECB or other ICC Member rules, regulations, codes or directives shall be permitted to enter the ground and any such person found within the ground on the day of the match shall be liable to immediate removal from the ground.

Please note that the use of any cameras or mobile devices or any electronic equipment, for the recording, transmission or communication of match footage, details, statistics, images (on any platforms including but not limited to websites and social media) etc., is not permitted other than with the proper accreditation.  All ground regulations apply.
