Worcestershire CCC are delighted to today confirm the official Women’s Rapids squad for the 2026 season.
Fresh off an inaugural season with fully fledged Tier 2 status, the Rapids side went from strength to strength in both white ball competitions and are looking to build on the foundations laid during the summer.
After finishing the season in promising fashion, mounting an impressive late charge for qualification in the Metro Bank One Day Cup, the Rapids squad showed their potential with some accomplished performances.
Head Coach Ed Wilson and his coaching staff wasted no time beginning preparations for next season, starting their talent identification and trial process upon the conclusion of the campaign.
With some new personnel added and a host of key figures retained, Wilson is eager to bring the squad together and get to work.
Head Coach, Ed Wilson:
“We had 30 players trial with us over the two weeks, and the standard was really high.
“I’m delighted with the new signings we have made; they will add real competition into the existing squad.
“Last year was a good first year for the Rapids but I’m looking to push on next summer and the new players will add depth and quality and bring some freshness to the group.”
