Worcestershire CCC Head Coach Alan Richardson has issued an update on the status and availability of several players ahead of the upcoming Metro Bank One Day Cup fixtures.
Gareth Roderick:
Gareth sustained a wrist injury during the Rothesay County Championship fixture against Warwickshire, he has since been recovering and using the time off as a chance to rest ahead of September’s forthcoming County Championship matches.
Rob Jones:
Rob suffered a bad bruise to his hand during the opening Metro Bank One Day Cup match against Nottinghamshire. Scans showed no fracture, but his progress is being monitored in the interim as he recovers.
Dan Lategan:
Dan was added to the squad for the 50-over game against Hampshire on Wednesday and is available for selection moving forward in the competition.
Khurram Shahzad:
Khurram was rested for the home game against Hampshire as the club continue to rotate bowlers ahead of a busy end to the season across both formats.
Tom Taylor:
After featuring heavily across the Rothesay County Championship and the group stages of the Vitality T20 Blast, the club have used this time to manage Tom’s workload. Tom is continuing to train and is in contention to be in the squad for Sunday’s home game against Gloucestershire.
