KEY FIELDING ROLE BY HOSE HELPS WARRIORS TO T10 WIN

Worcestershire batter Adam Hose played a key role in the field with three excellent catches to help Northern Warriors launch their Abu Dhabi T10 League campaign with a nine run win over Morrisville Swamp Army.

Hose demonstrated a safe pair of hands to account for three of the first four wickets to fall after Morrisville had been set a 104 target.

He held onto a fine catch off a leading edge at point from Andries Gous (15) to account for the opener with 23 on the board to the last ball of the second over.

Hose was again in the thick of the action from the very next delivery as Faf du Plessis (8) went for a big leg side hit and perished at mid wicket.

There was more joy for Hose when Karim Janat (11) aimed a blow down the ground and he departed to a low catch at long on.

Morrisville were then 46-4 and, despite 37 from former Worcestershire all-rounder Moeen Ali, they closed on 94-8.

Hose had earlier made 10 from nine balls batting at number three in a total of 103-5, his first innings since suffering a wrist injury against Durham in the County Championship match at New Road in September.

Ex Worcestershire T20 player, Colin Munro, top-scored with 36 for the Warriors.
