Worcestershire keeper-batter Seth Essenhigh scored his maiden half century for England Under-19s during the Tri Series match with Scotland at the National Performance Centre, Loughborough.
The 16 year-old helped England to total a massive 410-6 from their 50 overs after they had chosen to bat.
Essenhigh came to the wicket with England 208-3 in the 28th over and raced to his half century off just 43 balls.
He put on 75 for the fourth wicket with opener BJ Dawkins who scored 137 off 102 deliveries.
Essenhigh was eventually fifth out for 52 with the total on 318-5 after striking four boundaries.
Dawkins had put on 155 for the first wicket with Ben Mayes (69) and there was late impetus to the innings from Sebastian Morgan (53 not out).
Worcester born Essenhigh has been part of the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 Worcestershire Academy intake.
He made his England Under-19 ODI debut earlier in the tournament against Ireland when he was dismissed for five.
England ended up today triumphing by 231 runs as Scotland were bowled out for 179 in 29.5 overs.
