Worcestershire Women’s Rapids player Flora Bertwhistle experienced an exceptional campaign with the ball during the Vitality County T20 during 2019.
The left arm spinner finished as the second highest wicket-taker in Division Two this summer with 14 victims and TOP of the averages.
Her wickets cost just FIVE RUNS apiece and she ended with an overall analysis of 21.4-3-70-14.
Bertwhistle had an economy rate of 3.23 and only Laura Ellison (15) picked up more wickets in the competition.
Rapids team-mate Jessica Humby was placed 10th in the leading wicket-taker charts and produced seasonal figures of 11-1-83-7.
On the batting front, Rapids captain Georgie Adcock finished as the competition’s third highest run-scorer.
In six innings she scored 152 runs at an average of 30.40
Adcock, who took over as captain of the Rapids this summer, had a strike rate of 113.43 and her highest score was 71 not out.
Rapids Pathway Manager-Assistant Coach Steve Magoffin said: “Both Flora and Georgie have been outstanding in the T20 this summer.
“With ball and bat respectively they have produced exceptionally good performances.”
