Worcestershire CCC’s Vitality Blast finals day batting hero Ben Cox will be heading to the UAE next week.
The Rapids wicket-keeper batsman is to participate in the Abu Dhabi T20 League.
Twenty-six-year-old Cox is to play for Boost Defenders who are part of the Shpageeza Cricket League.
He picked up the man of the match awards in both the Blast semi-final and final victories over Lancashire Lightning and Sussex Sharks respectively at Edgbaston 12 days ago.
Cox scored 55 not out versus Lancashire to enable Worcestershire to post a defendable total and then his unbeaten 46 saw them over the finishing line against Sussex, ending the game with a six and a four off Jofra Archer.
Six teams will be competing in the tournament at the Zayed Cricket Stadium which runs from October 4 to 6.
Hobart Hurricanes, Lahore Qalandars, Multiply Titans, Auckland Aces and Yorkshire are also taking part.
They will be split into two groups with the winners of both contesting the final.
