worcestershire ccc have named an unchanged squad for their opening match in the bob willis trophy against gloucestershire at bristol starting tomorrow.
the county will select from the same players chosen for the friendly encounter with warwickshire at edgbaston this week.
all 13 of the squad batted or bowled against warwickshire in the two-day game.
opener jake libby is poised to make his first class debut following his move from nottinghamshire last november after signing a three year contract.
he scored a half century in the intra-squad game at New Road and a composed 32 when having a second knock at edgbaston.
head coach alex gidman said: “jake hasn’t played a (competitive) game yet but it feels like he has been around for ages. he’s become part of the group and settled in very quickly.
“we’re gutted for him that he hasn’t had the opportunity yet but it’s nearly here now and we are all looking forward to watching him play.”
a lord’s final is the prize for the two sides with the most points accumulated in the three regional groups of six teams.
gidman, who won successive finals with gloucestershire at lord’s in 2003 and 2004, said: “lord’s finals should be enough to motivate anyone.
“a lot of our players haven’t played at lord’s. they were due to do that in the very first game of the season against middlesex.
“but we are left with another opportunity in competition cricket to reach there which would be extremely exciting for any old, young, experienced, inexperienced player.
“we are all looking forward to the challenge of trying to reach that final.”
