Worcestershire CCC paceman Adam Finch was again amongst the wickets during his loan spell with Surrey in the Bob Willis Trophy encounter with Kent at the Kia Oval.
The 20-year-old ended with the excellent figures of 23.1-4-69-4 as Kent were dismissed for 342 in their first innings. It followed on from Finch’s figures of 12-1-38-4 in the second innings of his debut for Surrey against Essex at Chelmsford two weeks ago.
Finch did not play against Hampshire at Arundel because of a slight quad strain but returned to play a big part against Kent. He dismissed Kent opener Daniel Bell-Drummond lbw for 45 and Harry Podmore – caught at point for 47 – on the opening day of the game. He then polished off the innings by having Nathan Gilchrist (25) caught behind and Matt Milnes (43) who holed out after aiming a pull at Finch.
Surrey reached 239-7 in reply with Finch showing defiance with the bat in making an unbeaten nine by the close.
