COX CLOCKS UP TREBLE CENTURY OF FIRST CLASS DISMISSALS AT CHESTER ROAD

Worcestershire CCC wicket-keeper Ben Cox achieved the 300th first class dismissal of his career today.

The 27-year-old achieved the milestone in spectacular fashion on day two of the Specsavers County Championship match with Derbyshire at Kidderminster today.

Derbyshire batsman Fynn Hudson-Prentice gloved the second delivery of the day from Ed Barnard when attempting a pull.

Cox reacted instantly down the leg side in pulling off a splendid head high catch away to his left.

He was congratulated by his team-mates and received warm applause from spectators at Chester Road.

Cox has claimed 295 of his victims for Worcestershire with the other five accumulated when on duty for the MCC.

His tally consists of 287 catches and 13 stumpings.

Cox made his first class debut for the County against Somerset at Taunton in September 2009 when still at Bromsgrove School.
