CULLEN AGAIN AMONGST THE RUNS IN T20 TRIUMPH

Henry Cullen continued his impressive form with the bat for Woodville as his quickfire half century helped his side to a seven wicket win in a South Australian Cricket Association Premier Cricket T20 encounter.

The Worcestershire keeper-batter smashed 78 off just 55 balls as Woodville chased down a 119 target with 11 balls to spare.

Cullen opened and struck one six and 12 fours and had a strike rate of 141.81 as he completed his fourth fifty plus score of the winter.

He put on 83 for the third wicket with Ben Chapman-Lilley (34 not out) before he was dismissed with just eight more runs required for victory.

Woodville have won two of their opening three T20 matches.

Earlier, Cullen had taken one catch as Adelaide were restricted to 118-6 in their 20 overs.

Pace bowler Harry Darley continued his comeback from a glute injury in helping Ulverstone CC to an eight wicket success over Mowbray CC in a Cricket North West first grade fixture.

Darley took the new ball and removed opener William Dakin during a spell of 5-1-18-1 as Mowbray were bowled out for 126 in 44.5 overs.

Ulverstone made light of their target which was achieved in only 19 overs and they are lying in second spot with five wins from their opening eight games.

Gareth Roderick and Ed Pollock were both frustrated by the weather and endured a blank weekend.

The in-form Roderick’s side, Green Point, saw their Western Province Premier Division meeting with Kraaifontein CC abandoned without a ball being bowled.

Pollock’s club, St. George CC, suffered the same fate with their New South Wales Premier Cricket first grade clash with Western Suburbs.

But they remain at the top of the table with six wins from their opening eight matches.

Worcestershire’s new signing, spinner Fateh Singh, is still awaiting visa clearance to play for Melbourne based side, Canterbury CC in the Eastern Cricket Association competition.
