Jack Haynes scored his first century for Worcestershire Seconds who maintained their 100 per cent record in the Trophy competition with a seven wicket win over Nottinghamshire Seconds at Kidderminster.
The 17-year-old – a current member of the Worcestershire CCC Academy – hit an 81 ball hundred as the home side chalked up their fourth successive Trophy win.
George Rhodes also reached three figures and shared in a match-winning stand of 230 in 31 overs for the second wicket.
But paceman Charlie Morris also made a massive contribution in ripping out the Nottinghamshire top order and finishing with a five wicket haul.
Haynes’ potential has long been recognised and he was blooded in the Seconds last season.
But here was more evidence of his ability and he had reached 131 off 97 balls with 97 balls with five sixes and 17 fours – 98 in boundaries – before he chipped a low return catch to Chris Gibson.
Nottinghamshire must be sick of the sight of Rhodes who has now scored three Trophy hundreds – and all of them at their expense.
He made 101 at Trent College in 2015 and 134 at Oakham School last summer.
It was his second hundred of the season after his 151 not out in the Championship game against Warwickshire Seconds at Portland Road.
Worcestershire opted to bowl first and Morris quickly justified that decision with a three wicket burst.
Australian Solomon Budinger (8) skied to wicket-keeper Alex Milton, Lyndon James (0) edged to Rhodes at second slip and Matt Carter (0) was caught by Zen Malik at mid wicket.
It became 29-4 when Kemau Leverock was caught by Josh Dell at cover off England Under-19 bowler Adam Finch.
Gibson (67) and Connor Marshall (61) led a recovery for the visitors with a stand of 111 in 21 overs.
Rhodes ended the stand by bowling Marshall and then Gibson was caught at long on by Grant Thornton off spinner Ben Twohig.
But further resistance came from keeper Tom Keast (66) before he was caught at point by Twohig off the returning Morris and, with support from the tail-enders, he lifted Nottinghamshire to 291 all out after 47.4 overs.
Morris, a member of the first team squad for all five Specsavers County Championship games, ended with 5-45.
When Worcestershire replied, skipper Ollie Westbury (6) was caught behind but then it became the Rhodes and Haynes show.
Rhodes reached his century off 93 balls with one six and 13 fours and Haynes went to that milestone with two sixes and 15 other boundaries.
The stand was finally broken at 258-2 when Rhodes (124) was bowled by Gibson and Haynes followed 17 runs later.
But Ross Whiteley and Alex Milton saw Worcestershire over the line without any further setbacks with 7.4 overs to spare.

Cheshire opted to bat and scored 227 with left arm spinner Freddie Fallows returning 4-58 from his 10 overs.
Opening bowlers Harry Cook and Oliver Walker finished with 2-31 and 1-31 respectively while left arm spinner Jack Arton (1-36 in 10) and off spinner Zak Abbas (1-10 in six) bowled tidily.
Worcestershire were restricted to 157-9 in reply with Jack Home ending unbeaten on 41.
