Worcestershire Rapids batter Kashif Ali has finished as the leading six hitter in the group stages of the Metro Bank One Day Cup.
Kashif will head into Sunday’s quarter-final with Hampshire at the Ageas Bowl with 21 maximums to his name in the 2023 tournament.
He finished two ahead of Prithvi Shaw (Northamptonshire Steelbacks) after thrilling Rapids supporters with some explosive stroke-play.
Durham’s David Bedingham was next best with 18 sixes with Jack Taylor (Gloucestershire) and Andrew Umeed (Somerset) on 17 apiece.
Kashif’s memorable innings against Derbyshire and Sussex Sharks also lifted him into the top five of the highest strike rates in the One Day Cup.
He smashed 88 off 36 balls at the Incora County Ground and then 53 not out from 26 deliveries against the Sharks at New Road on Sunday.
Kashif, who also scored 76 versus Durham, ended the group stages with 319 runs from 219 balls at a strike rate of 145.66.
