Alex Milton twice top-scored for Worcestershire Seconds who were beaten in both of their two opening T20 matches of the campaign with Warwickshire Seconds at Stourport CC.
The wicket-keeper batsman made 33 in a 49 run defeat in the opening game.
Milton then fought a virtual lone hand with a half century in a 42 run setback in the second encounter.
In Game One, Warwickshire elected to bat and totalled 176-3 in their 20 overs.
Openers Ed Pollock (45 off 34 balls) and Alex Thomson (25 off 15) put on 62 in 6.2 overs before holing out to ‘cow corner’ and long off respectively.
Two wickets to George Rhodes and one to fellow spinner Brett D’Oliveira pulled the Bears back to 86-3 in the 12th over.
But Matthew Lamb (57 not out off 41) and Alex Mellor (37 not out off 26) added an unbroken 90 in 8.5 overs.
Rhodes finished with 2-17 from three overs and D’Oliveira 1-26 from four overs while triallist Brinder Phagura (0-17 in three) was economical.
Paceman Dillon Pennington, in his first game for the Seconds after recovering from an ankle injury, bowled three overs for 35 runs.
When Worcestershire batted, openers Ollie Westbury (10) and Angus Robson (20) were both caught behind, D’Oliveira fell for a first ball duck and Rhodes (13) was picked up at deep square leg.
Milton struck four boundaries in his breezy 28 ball knock and Phagura remained unbeaten on 31 from 27 deliveries as Worcestershire closed on 127-8.
In Game Two, Warwickshire again won the toss and this time totalled 165-6.
Pollock made 19 off nine balls before falling to Pennington with D’Oliveira taking the catch at mid-wicket.
Michael Burgess, who has joined Warwickshire from Sussex initially on loan before taking up a two year contract, and Lamb put on 64 in six overs.
Wicket-keeper Burgess (34) provided Pennington with a second success as Rhodes held onto the chance at extra cover.
Lamb went onto make 77 from 52 balls in his second sizeable contribution of the day before he was bowled by D’Oliveira.
D’Oliveira ended with 2-33 from his four overs, Pennington 2-26 off two, skipper Pat Brown 1-16 off two and Ed Bragg 1-18 from two.
Worcestershire lost the wickets of top order batsmen Westbury (5), Robson (12), Rhodes (10) and D’Oliveira (15) at regular intervals.
Milton played aggressively and struck two sixes and five fours in his 53 off 33 balls.
He was eventually ninth out at 118 – caught a point of Pakistan left arm spinner Zafar Gohar who ended with figures of 4-29.
