Moeen Ali has been included in England’s squads for both the Vitality IT20 and Royal London ODI Series against Australia next month.
The Worcestershire all-rounder is part of the squad for the three IT20s at the Ageas Bowl and the trio of ODIs at Emirates Old Trafford.
It will be a hectic schedule with all six games taking place in a 12 day period from Friday September 4 to Wednesday September 16. Both series will be played behind closed doors in a bio-secure environment.
Moeen was vice-captain for the three ODIs against Ireland and was also part of the squad for the current IT20 Series against Pakistan.
The 33-year-old has to date played in 105 ODIs and 30 IT20s.
Commenting on the selection of the squad, National Selector Ed Smith, said: “These two series against Australia provide an exciting end to the summer. We have selected strong squads. We are also continuing to develop depth in preparation for the upcoming T20 World Cups.”
