Moeen Ali will make a quickfire switch from international duty to the Indian Premier League next month.
The Worcestershire all-rounder is set to experience his second stint of action in the IPL.
The 31-year-old Moeen is one of 14 players who have been retained for another campaign by Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The County’s Vitality Blast winning captain featured in five matches for the Challengers in 2018.
He scored 77 runs with a top score of 65 and had the Challengers second best economy rate with the ball – 7.36 runs per over – after figures of 13.1-0-97-3.
Virat Kohli will again captain the Challengers whose squad also contains AB de Villiers, Tim Southee and West Indies player Shimron Hetymer who has been in action against Moeen this winter.
This year will represent the 12th year of the IPL and all matches are scheduled this year to be staged in India with the tournament getting underway on March 23.
Moeen initially put himself forward three years ago for the IPL auction but withdrew because of ECB concerns that winter over his workload as a player involved in all three formats with England.
He is currently preparing for England’s series of ODIs and T20s against the West Indies with the action in the Caribbean ending on March 10.
