Wayne Parnell has made a telling impact with bat and ball for Worcestershire Rapids during the opening half of the Vitality Blast campaign.
Parnell and Pat Brown are the Rapids leading wicket-takers after six matches of the North Group programme.
The duo have both collected nine scalps to date in the competition.
Brown – the county’s leading wicket-taker in the Blast last summer – has picked up his wickets at an average of 19.77 and an economy rate of 8.09 runs per over.
Parnell has very similar figures with his wickets coming at an average of 20.00 and an economy of 8.18.
He has also chipped in 127 runs – including a match-winning 81 not out against Derbyshire – at 42.33 to head the batting averages.
Riki Wessels is currently the Rapids leading run-scorer with 208 runs at 34.66 including the superb 91 in the success over Yorkshire Vikings at Headingley.
