Wayne Parnell finished as one of the leading wicket-takers in the Afghanistan Premier League (APL) which came to an end yesterday.
The Worcestershire all-rounder claimed 13 scalps at an average of 25.84.
His efforts helped Kabul Zwanan to reach the final of the T20 competition in which they were beaten by Balkh Legends in Sharjah.
Left armer Parnell finished with figures of 37.3-0-336-13-25.84.
Only four players collected more wickets in the APL than the 29-year-old including Sri Lanka Isuru Udana – another left armer who came out on top with 17 victims.
Parnell’s success followed on from the key part he played in the Rapids Vitality Blast success after linking up with the County in early August.
His 14 wickets was the second highest Blast tally by a Rapids player after Pat Brown and came at an average of 18.35.
