Pace bowler, Pat Brown, has become the third Worcestershire CCC player to sign for Oval Invincibles for The Hundred this summer.
Brown has followed in the footsteps of batter Jack Haynes and fellow pace bowler Muhammad Hasnain in committing to play for the Invincibles.
He was part of the Birmingham Phoenix squad, along with Dillon Pennington, which reached the inaugural final in The Hundred 12 months ago.
England T20I international Brown finished as the Worcestershire Rapids leading wicket-taker in this summer’s Vitality Blast with 14 scalps.
Worcestershire Cricket Steering Group Chair, Paul Pridgeon, said: “Pat Brown has been selected for the Oval Invincibles and it is a bit of a fillip for him because he hasn’t played a lot of cricket this year.
“He’s had a difficult couple of years with injuries but towards the end of the Vitality Blast he produced one or two good performances.
“He looked like he was getting back to where he had been. Good for Pat and an opportunity to play some white ball cricket at a high level and let’s hope things work out well for him.”
Brown has been skippering Worcestershire Seconds in Championship cricket this season and gradually building up his match fitness.
