Following a 1pm inspection by the umpires, play has been abandoned for the first day of the Vitality County Championship fixture at Visit Worcestershire New Road.
Due to heavy rainfall on Tuesday, several areas of the outfield, including the bowlers’ run-ups, were deemed unsafe for play.
The groundstaff at Visit Worcestershire New Road are working tirelessly on the affected areas. The Club will provide further updates on the prospects of play as soon as possible.
