Worcestershire have further strengthened their squad for the Metro Bank One Day Cup by signing Nottinghamshire spinner Fateh Singh on loan.
The England Under-19 player becomes the Rapids fourth signing after Hishaam Khan, Tommy Sturgess and Tom Hinley for the 50 over competition.
Singh is a slow left armer who has made 12 appearances for Nottinghamshire in the One Day Cup, three in 2021 and nine the following season, and picking up nine wickets.
He made 11 appearances for England Under-19s between September 2021 and September 2022 including two ODIs against Sri Lanka at Visit Worcestershire New Road, and again returned nine wickets.
This season he has been playing predominantly for Nottinghamshire Seconds but also for Lincolnshire in National Counties cricket.
Singh will further add to Worcestershire’s spin options alongside former Sussex player Hinley who picked up three wickets in the National Counties Showcase game versus Wales.
He will first come into contention for Sunday’s home encounter against Durham.
Khan, Sturgess and Hinley all signed short term contracts and the trio made their One Day Cup debut for Worcestershire in Wednesday’s impressive win over Middlesex at New Road.
