worcestershire seconds will switch to t20 action tomorrow when they take on local rivals warwickshire in a double header at stourport cc.
the seconds are still in contention to qualify for the knockout stages of the 50 over trophy competition and trying to at least emulate last season’s semi-final spot.
but the focus will be on the short format of the game for the next 24 hours with the matches at stourport getting underway at 11.30am and 3pm respectively.
worcestershire finished ninth out of 10 teams in the north group last summer.
they won three of their 12 matches – against northamptonshire at New Road (seven wickets), mcc young cricketers at wolverhampton (nine wickets) and yorkshire at marske by the sea (38 runs).
this year they will play four of their 12 games against nottinghamshire – two at New Road and two at grantham.
