Worcestershire Seconds are currently lying in fourth spot in the Championship North Division table after playing their opening three matches.
Coach Alex Gidman’s side went down to Warwickshire at Portland Road in their opening game after both teams set up a last day finish.
They then shared the spoils with MCC Young Cricketers at High Wycombe and Lancashire at Barnt Green.
The five extra points earned from Tristan Blackledge and Zain Ul-Hassan’s defiant last wicket stand against Lancashire – they survived the final 22.4 overs – has made the difference between occupying fourth and joint sixth spot.
After three weeks of predominantly Trophy action, the Seconds will be back on the Championship trail tomorrow.
They will will take on Nottinghamshire at Stourbridge CC from Tuesday June 5 to Thursday June 7.
A 12 strong squad has been announced for the fixture including fit again pace bowler Dillon Pennington and experienced bowler Steve Magoffin.
Tom Fell is also part of the 12 with Academy player Sam Flavell scheduled to keep wicket and there are two new triallists in Ryan Gibson and Dan Richardson who have played for Yorkshire and Staffordshire respectively.
