Yadvinder Singh has become the second product of the South Asian Cricket Academy to make their first class debut for Worcestershire.
The pace bowler has been included in the side for the Vitality County Championship match with leaders Surrey at The Oval starting today (Friday).
Yadvinder follows in the footsteps of Kashif Ali who made his debut two years ago and is now a regular member of the Worcestershire side.
It was a proud moment for Yadvinder when he received his colours (cap) today from Assistant Head Coach, Kadeer Ali, ahead of the start of play.
Yadvinder, who signed a contract at New Road during the winter, earned his opportunity after some impressive performances for the Seconds in Championship cricket.
He picked up six wickets in the win over Gloucestershire at Kidderminster and his first five-for in the rain-hit draw with Leicestershire at Kibworth.
