Worcestershire Seconds mopped up Gloucestershire’s first innings before three of their batsmen scored half centuries on day two of the four-day friendly at Cheltenham College.
The home side resumed on 336-5 but lost their five wickets to Zain Ul-Hussan and Riecko Parker-Cole for 42 runs in just 12.1 overs.
Then Jack Haynes, triallist Safwaan Imtiaz and Josh Dell topped the fifty mark as Worcestershire closed the day on 261-9.
Ben Charlesworth (53 not out) and George Drissell (31 not out) were quickly dismissed when play recommenced.
Drissell was first to depart without addition to his or the overnight team total when caught behind off Ul-Hassan.
Charlesworth added only four more runs before he fell victim to Parker-Cole and the innings was quickly wrapped up.
Ul-Hassan finished with the commendable figures of 4-60 from 21.1 overs and Parker-Cole 2-72 from 17 overs.
Worcestershire lost three early wickets in reply before Haynes and Imtiaz joined forces at 38-3 and added 94 in 21 overs.
Imtiaz went on the offensive and needed just 51 balls to clock up his fifty with six fours while Haynes reached his half century off 91 balls with seven fours
The pair departed within 15 runs of each other for 56 and 57 respectively.
But then Dell and Ul-Hassan featured in the second significant partnership of the innings – 96 in 29 overs.
As with the Imtiaz-Haynes stand, the two of them were dismissed within quick succession.
Dell reached a fifty off 99 deliveries with six boundaries before he was seventh out at 246 and just four runs later Ul-Hassan (33) was leg before.
