Worcestershire Seconds captain Ross Whiteley completed his maiden Second Eleven Championship century on day two against Lancashire Seconds at Stourport.
The all-rounder, who resumed on 19 not out, followed Jack Haynes to three figures and was unbeaten on 109 when he declared mid-way through the afternoon session at 480-9.
His first fifty occupied 126 balls, but he needed only another 41 to reach his hundred as he continued his impressive run of form.
Whiteley had scored 59 against Gloucestershire and 92 versus Somerset in the opening two SEC matches.
Triallist spinner George Drissell and paceman Josh Tongue, who picked up eight wickets at Taunton, both made a breakthrough before the close with Lancashire 140-2 from 44 overs.
Worcestershire resumed on 322-3 from 96 overs, and Haynes added four runs to his overnight total before he was lbw to Liam Hurt for a splendid 165 from 285 balls spanning six and a half hours.
Whiteley and Ismail Mohammed ensured that the Seconds secured a fourth batting bonus point by the end of the 110 overs, at which point the total stood on 361-4.
Whiteley lashed Josh Boyden on the up through the covers to complete his half-century with his eighth four.
He lofted spinner Tom Hartley for a straight six, and the 400 came up just before lunch after a session which added 81 runs from 28 overs.
Mohammed batted sensibly in making 33 – including a six off Hartley over long-on – before he went for another big hit off the same bowler and fell to a catch by Jack Morley running back from the mid wicket.
The Whiteley-Mohammed partnership was worth 91 in 25.2 overs.
Drissell made a breezy 19 off 14 balls before he clubbed a full toss from
Hartley straight into the hand of deep mid-wicket, and in the same over, Ed Bragg (0) attempted a cut shot and played on.
Whiteley brought up his century in a grand manner with his third six over mid-wicket off Hartley, and it also contained ten fours.
Tongue (7) gave Hartley the charge down the wicket and was stumped at 479-8, and Whiteley declared immediately after James Logan (1) was lbw to provide Hartley with his fifth wicket.
Tongue and Adam Finch took the new ball for Worcestershire, and both saw a catch put down during their initial spells.
Ben Walkden survived a chance when on six, and fellow opener Owais Shah also had a let-off after scoring 10.
Drissell ended a stand of 75 when Whiteley neatly caught Shah (42) at short leg.
Tongue returned for a second spell, and Walkden (40) got into all kinds of trouble as the ball popped up to Whiteley, who was alert at mid-wicket to hold onto the chance.
The fading light meant the spinners Drissell and Logan ended the day in tandem.
