Worcestershire First Team Coach Alex Gidman has announced an unchanged squad for the Specsavers County Championship match with Durham at the Emirates Riverside beginning tomorrow.
It will consist of the 11 players in action against Derbyshire at Kidderminster plus paceman Adam Finch.
All-rounder Wayne Parnell is again ruled out with a hamstring injury although he and Pat Brown are accompanying the official squad to Durham ahead of the Vitality Blast.
Gidman said: “Wayne is still fighting to be fit for the start of the T20 (Vitality Blast).”
Worcestershire’s involvement in the Cheltenham Festival means they have to play their opening two Blast matches against Notts Outlaws and Birmingham Bears either side of Championship matches with Durham and Gloucestershire.
Gidman said: “We are up here until Tuesday and then practicing at Nottingham on Wednesday after they have kindly given us some facilities.
“It is what it is, a very busy time. But it is the same for everyone. The T20 has come around very quickly.
“First and foremost it is about what we do up at Durham and then we will focus our attention on the T20.
“We have spent quite a lot of time in the dirt (field) in the last couple of weeks. There was a long stint at Glamorgan and then against Derbyshire there were some long stints.
“But sometimes the best thing to do is keep cracking on.”
