Worcestershire County Cricket Club have partnered with Droitwich Spa Hospital, part of Circle Health Group, as their preferred healthcare partner of choice.
Conveniently based in the heart of Droitwich Spa town centre, and just 7 miles from the Club’s Visit Worcestershire New Road ground, the players can be scanned by the hospital’s Imaging team at short notice, often within 24-48 hours following a game or training session, to help them receive a diagnosis quickly so the cricket club’s medical team can take action as soon as an injury occurs.
The hospital offers MRI, CT, Digital X-ray and Ultrasound so can cater for all imaging requests.
Worcestershire players would also be able to take advantage of the advanced physiotherapy facilities provided at Droitwich Spa Hospital which include Shockwave Therapy and Advanced Hand Therapy to aid rehabilitation post injury and will help the players back to match fitness.
Claire Davenport, Executive Director at Droitwich Spa Hospital, said: “We are thrilled to be working with Worcestershire County Cricket Club, they have such a presence in the county and are extremely well supported by the local community.
We wish them all the very best for this season and are always happy to help their players, as and when required.”
Joe Tromans, Head of Commercial & Partnerships at Worcestershire County Cricket Club added “We are excited to partner with Droitwich Spa Hospital, ensuring our players have access to top-tier medical and physiotherapy services.
“This collaboration is crucial for the well-being and performance of our team, allowing us to respond swiftly to injuries and maintain our players’ fitness throughout the season.
“We look forward to a successful partnership that will benefit both our club and the local community.”
