WORCESTERSHIRE KEEPER-BATTER CULLEN AGAIN MAKING IMPRESSIVE MARK DOWN UNDER

Worcestershire keeper-batter Henry Cullen is enjoying another successful winter playing grade cricket in Australia and his performances are reflected in his statistics.

Two years ago Cullen finished as the overall leading run scorer in the Victorian Cricket Association after scoring 691 runs at an average of 53.15 for Plenty Valley.

It earned him glowing praise for his first full year Down Under from Plenty Valley Head Coach Michael Rogneda.

Now Cullen has demonstrated the same sort of form for South Australia Premier Cricket first grade club Woodville during the first half of the 2024-2025 campaign.

The 21-year-old is the tournament’s current top run-getter with 375 runs at an average of 121.67.

Cullen did not play in the opening fixture but since then has made important contributions to all three of Woodville’s wins.

He hit an unbeaten 66 not out against Prospect, then 64 not out and 97 versus East Torrens and most recently a superb unbeaten 125 in the triumph over Northern District.

Cullen has helped Woodville to reach joint second spot in the table behind East Torrens.

He is ahead in the run charts of Ryan King (East Torrens) 340, Lachlan Murphy (Southern District) 309 and Kane Halfpenny (SACA Under-19s) 242.
