Worcestershire Seconds Championship match with Lancashire at Kidderminster – scheduled to start on Monday May 6 – has been cancelled.
The match has been called off as a mark of respect for Worcestershire spinner Josh Baker who sadly passed away earlier in the week.
Worcestershire CEO, Ashley Giles, said: “Given the events of just a few days ago and after speaking with Lancashire we felt it right that the game was cancelled. Everyone has been deeply impacted by Josh’s passing and this allows our players and management important time to grieve and reflect before returning to cricket.”
