Worcestershire County Cricket Club have today begun the recruitment process for its first standalone Director of Cricket.
Since late 2017 parts of the role have been performed by the Chair of the Cricket Steering group, initially led by Tim Curtis, then followed by Paul Pridgeon.

Paul expressed his desire to stand down as Cricket Steering Group Chair at the end of the season, and the Club is hugely grateful for his considerable efforts and achievements over the last four years. The Club will fully recognise Paul’s contribution to the Club over a 50-year period at the end of the season, and Paul will continue to serve on Worcestershire’s board as Vice-Chair.
Applications are now invited for this new role, with the primary purpose being to develop and implement a strategy to achieve sustainable success in all formats of the game. The successful candidate will be responsible for all coaching staff, cricket operations, Science and Medicine and the Academy.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in leadership roles within professional sport, with outstanding interpersonal, strategic planning and operational skills with the ability to build and lead diverse teams.
